Slimplug® Folding-Pin Plug

Slimplug®, a dynamic, young technology company, was founded by design engineer John Gillis to solve the long standing problem of the awkwardness of the British Standard power plug.

Optima worked closely with Slimplug® to create the world’s first folding pin plug. Designed with travel in mind, the pins stow away neatly into a luggage pack, without damaging the other contents.

Nearly two years of design, development and testing enabled Slimplug® to set a world first when it was granted a product approval license for a folding pin plug meeting BS/EN 1363.
